New Year Tech Inc. (NYT) was founded in 1989 with the philosophy and goal to be an industry leader in our core business areas by ensuring it provides high quality and cost-effective contract services fully meeting the needs of our Government and commercial clients nationwide.

 NYT was established as and continues to be an innovator in inventory and asset management services with a specialization in automated ID technologies such as bar coding and Radio Frequency ID (RFID).   Since 1998, NYT has continued to provide personal property management services to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Services provided to NIH to date encompass over 170,000 items of accountable personal property belonging to 27 different institutes located in over 150 buildings in six (6) states and the District of Columbia.  

 While maintaining a high level of client satisfaction in the asset management department, NYT diversified into additional services that include Information Technology (IT), Laboratory Animal Care, and Transportation, as well as expanded the Asset and Management effort.  We have expanded our capabilities beyond ID (bar coding, RFID) and we now offer assurance solutions that include but are not limited to such state of the art technologies as biometrics, access control and image scanning.

 In February of 2002, NYT branched into the field of laboratory animal science through a contract with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at Building 10A/B2 on the Bethesda, Maryland campus.  The purpose was, and remains, to provide quality animal care and husbandry for research animals.  

 In October 2003 NYT continued their growth and progression into Laboratory Animal Science by acquiring contract awards with the Department of Veterinary Resources (DVR) and the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) at NIH.  In addition, NYT became the Prime Contractor for animal care facilities in 2004, at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS XE "NIEHS" ) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.  Under these animal care contracts, NYT continues to successfully provide a wide range of animal care support including but not limited to: animal husbandry, medical research, animal transportation, scientific support.

 In 2003, NYT expanded into the field of transportation services with the award of a shuttle services contract with the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C.  We have exhibited high customer satisfaction and constant growth in this division by acquiring a shuttle services and charter bus services contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2005. 

 Although a small, minority owned business, or maybe because of it, NYT has demonstrated its potential to provide quality services in an assortment of areas to clients nationwide.  We received the prestigious Deloitte & Touche Technology FAST 50 Award in 2002, in recognition of exceptional growth in the information technology service industry. NYT has also been recognized by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for its efforts, both as a prime contractor and subcontractor, with nine Small Business Administrative Administrator’s Awards for Excellence.  NYT has shown steady growth for the last ten years and  is a financially stable small business capable of supporting our personnel.
